Evan was tested and accepted into the GATE program at Murdock Elementary. Evan returned to The Learning Garden again for testing for admission to a private school. I didn't realize that the testing fee would be waived for Evan for his lifetime, due to prior testing with you. What a nice bonus! This time you pre-tested Evan for the ISEE and developed a curriculum and testing strategies to enhance his scores on the final exam. Thanks to you and your incredible staff, Evan's scores improved dramatically in just a few sessions with you. Evan said he felt so comfortable taking the exam because you had given him actual questions from previous tests. Evan enjoys being challenged at your school and always looks forward to coming to The Learning Garden, even after an eight hour day at school. Thank you so much for all that you have done for Evan. I know we will continue to use your school for many years to come. You offer such wonderful opportunities for students and challenge them in ways that encourage them to succeed. "School has always been a struggle for my son, and homework time put a huge strain on our entire family. I heard about The Learning Garden from the Learning Resource teacher at his school. I called them immediately and made an appointment for him to be assessed. The assessment results concurred with what I had suspected. His reading comprehension was well below grade level. Although he was reluctant to attend that first session, he walked out of there feeling good about it. After completing the “Scholastic Reading” program, he scored well above grade level on the state tests, and it has made an enormous difference in all of his classes. His self-esteem and confidence levels have also increased.

To keep him focused and on the right track, I enrolled him in the “Effective Writing” program at the beginning of this school year (8th grade). His writing has shown tremendous improvement, and he was extremely proud of the fact that he received one of the highest scores in his class on a recent essay test.

The Learning Garden has made a huge impact on our family. The staff is always available to answer my questions, and they keep me informed of the progress my son is making on a regular basis."

"The Learning Garden gives us strength in academics. We began using the Learning Garden's services when our third grader was having a difficult time focusing on his schoolwork. He was especially struggling in reading. The Learning Garden gave him both the reading skills that he needed and confidence in his abilities. Our oldest son also benefits from The Learning Garden and has recently been accepted to Saint Augustine High School in the fall.
